ANDROMEDIA, INC. AND HEWLETT-PACKARD ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP

ARIA Recorder Reporter(TM) to Run on HP Platforms for Unix and NT

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., March 6, 1997 - Andromedia, Inc. today announced a partnership with Hewlett-Packard Company to provide solutions for reporting and understanding activity on World Wide Web sites. ARIA Recorder Reporter(TM), Andromedia's live, completely integrated website tracking tool, will be optimized for Hewlett-Packard's HP-UX platform. Andromedia will be demonstrating ARIA March 12-14 at Internet World in Los Angeles, in Hewlett-Packard's booth (Booth #1624). As part of the relationship, Andromedia and Hewlett-Packard have established a joint marketing and techology alliance. Andromedia will also be utilizing the HP Domain Enterprise Servers within their development environment.

ARIA combines capture of website activity data as it happens with ease of installation and maintenance. Its automatically-generated reports are available through an ordinary web browser to everyone whose job requires understanding what's happening on a website. ARIA sites may customize the information displayed to match their needs.

"We are very pleased with our new partnership with Andromedia. ARIA Recorder Reporter's ability to provide state of the website activity data and the scaleable design of the product make ARIA one of the key solutions in HP's Domain Partner Program", said Judy Ash, Internet Partners Marketing Manager. "We think Andromedia will really complement the industry leading HP Domain Enterprise Servers".

"Hewlett-Packard is an important force in the web server market," says Kent Godfrey, CEO of Andromedia. "We are pleased to provide HP customers with on- demand access to information about their web activity."
